Little Helper Drew

Drew has been hilarious recently about helping out around the house. One night we were dealing with dinner and Drew decided we weren't getting things done fast enough. He got out the cereal, put some on each of our place mats, and sat down to eat. Thanks for dinner, Drew!
On laundry day we were sitting in the living room when the dryer buzzer went off. I just ignored it, but before I knew it Drew had pulled the basket over to the dryer, emptied all the clothes into the basket, and pushed it over by the stairs. I didn't even know he knew what that buzzer was.
After signing up for the dry pack canner months ago, the long-awaited day came when we could finally get our food storage in order. Drew HAD to help, so he scooped the split peas from the bucket into the can. We were a little nervous it would be a disaster, but he was actually pretty helpful.
Corbin had his part in our canning day, too. He wasn't quite as helpful. He got pretty upset when we wouldn't let him eat oatmeal straight out of the bucket. Drew kinda started that one, though. I don't know if you've ever eaten dry oatmeal, but it's not that special.
Just today Drew dumped banana chips all over the kitchen, and I made him clean them up. I'm not sure he really learned his lesson. I think he was a little disappointed when there were no more chips to clean up. This mothering stuff is nothin'. A couple more years and I'll be able to just kick back and let my boys take care of me!

Hey

I found your blog through my stalking of Lindy. I knew you at raintree apartments with Lindy.

Your little family is so cute. Glad I could take a glimpse and sort of catch up
