Unless you're really into oil drilling Bakersfield history isn't too exciting, but the boys had fun with their Gramma and Grampa Pilcher on Saturday.
Sittin' at the train station waitin' for the train to come... It was already sitting there.

Grampa Barry probably thinks I didn't get enough of this caboose in the picture, but I wanted to be able to see them in it. Sorry Barry.

Corbin thought this hydrant, which wasn't really part of the museum, was hilarious.
They had this room that simulates going down into the ocean to drill for oil. Drew got a little scared, but we were all bored by the end of the 6min. simulation.
There was a kids "discovery center", which looked more like a day care center, but the boys had fun driving the fire engine...
and playing school.
We went swimming in the evening, but we were all too wimpy to get in the freezing cold pool, so we played in the hot tub. I forgot to lock the stroller, and the wind blew it right in with us. We barely saved the camera and my phone. All the towels (except Barry's) got soaked, so we had a cold walk home.
