Drew keeps me on my toes, to say the least. The other day, I made the mistake of walking out the back door, knowing one of Drew's favorite things is locking me out. I checked on my tomatoes and turned around to tell him to let me in. He was hanging from the blinds with a frightened look, and I soon realized he couldn't get down. I had to run across the grass to the office to get Jesse (who was meeting with his regional manager), since I had bare feet and couldn't run around to the front door without burning my feet. Jesse had to run around, get Drew off the blinds (he'd been hanging for a few minutes by then), and let me in. Such silliness!
Funny spot to take a nap.
Drew has so much fun with his Aunt Wendy!

Whenever the oven mitts go missing, I know where to look first.
Aunt Loni and Uncle JB came to visit us a few weeks ago. The boys loved it, of course. There isn't much to do in Bakersfield, but these boys sure are constant entertainment!

We had an interesting 4th of July. We did an office BBQ and swimming after the guys worked the first half of the day. The guys were doing flips off their scooters into the pool, against our recommendations. Then they decided to dance through their own fireworks instead of watching the city's. Men really are just overgrown little boys, aren't they?! And I mean that in the most endearing way possible :-)
Drew was either afraid of the fireworks (which is strange since he had no problem with the loud fireworks at Disneyland) or he just wanted to be cuddled by Wendy all night. I have my guess...
Corbin was trying to play with matches all night, and so it begins.
I can't remember what they're laughing at here, but I remember they laughed pretty hard about it.
There's Corbin with the matches again.
This is one of my recent battle scars. I made the mistake of getting on the floor with the boys and got headbutted by Drew. It hurt a lot when it happened, and I've looked stupid for weeks. This picture doesn't even do it justice!

By that picture I see of you, are you sure I'll be safe coming out there this weekend? I'll chance it, can't wait to come and see those boys! And you and Jess too, of course.
