Happy Birthday to Me!

I was a little nervous about how my recent birthday (May 30th) was going to go. Jesse had another one of his long days, leaving at 8am and not getting home until after 10pm. My friend, Jenny, and I decided to try to make it special so we took the kids out for a fun day. We brought the kids a picnic lunch to eat while we bought wraps and ate them at a little park with water fountains that shoot out of the ground. The kids had a blast and got soaked! This little girl wasn't even with us. Drew just makes friends everywhere he goes. After playing in the water we dried the kids off and went to Zoinks, a place with games and big blown up jumping rooms and slides. This is Drew with Kate, Jenny's daughter.
Corbin, unfortunately for him, got to spend a good portion of the day in his car seat. He took it quite well, though.
After all that fun Drew had to take a little break in the mom's lounge and catch up on his reading.
Drew LOVES coin operated cars. It makes no real difference to him if you never put any coins in as long as he can steer.
At the end of the day I felt like it had been a great birthday. Nothing makes a mother happier than to see her children having fun while keeping out of trouble. Jesse even took me out for a late dinner without the kids. It's going to be a wonderful year!
