So Georgia is history. We spent all day Sunday driving to College Station, Texas (home of Texas A&M), about an hour and a half north of Houston. We were a little nervous driving 13 1/2 hours (before stops) with the boys, but it went really well. They were soooo good! This week has gone really well with Jesse's work, so the trip was definitely worth it. The boys and I have even found a few fun things to pass the time. This first picture shows what Drew likes to do to our hotel room every day. He pulls the cushions off the couch and empties his toys all over the living room. Somehow Corbin managed to fall asleep in the mess, though. He looked so peaceful!
We went to a local park with a duck pond. Drew loved the ducks as long as they stayed far away from him. When the ducks started running toward him, he freaked out. He kept wanting to watch them but wasn't so sure he was safe. It was kinda funny to watch the fight between his curiosity and nervousness.
Corbin has entered the feet stage. He's started grabbing his toes all the time, sometimes sucking on his big toe instead of his thumb. I love it!
We made a discovery today. There is a playground at the mall. That means air-conditioning for me and Corbin, and no shortage of playmates for Drew. It's even right next to a Sonic. I have it all planned out to get there during happy hour (half price slushes) next time. Sweet! We found a Chuck E. Cheese's at the other end of the mall. Drew loves to run around in there, thanks to Jennie, who introduced us to the place in Albany.
There was a puppy store in the mall, too. Drew had to sit there and watch the puppies through the glass. He was jumping, squealing, and laughing, and then he looked over and saw these puppies next to him on the ground (they're fake). At first he freaked out and ran away. Then he went over to them and thought they were hilarious. I caught him here laughing at them. It's so fun to watch him discover the world!
For those of you wondering, we're on the home stretch. Jesse is managing an extension office in Houston for the month of September, but the boys and I will be headed back to Utah the first week of September. We're also hoping to get to Maine this fall after Jesse gets home and we all settle in. We have a lot of family to see, and a lot of cousins to play with!

Glad you found an indoor playground finally. Sorry you had to drive all the way to Texas to find one! It is good to hear Jesse had a good week. I hope the rest of the season goes well for you guys.
It looks like the move was good for you all. I hope that the rest of the years goes just as well.
Good luck!
Nick

My sister is in Conroe, what part of Houston are you in? --Is that the mall in the Woodlands?
